River Rafting in Rishikesh Adventure Reopens from 17th September

Almost at the end of monsoon season, good news for the river rafting and camping business companies that river rafting resumed in Rishikesh from 17th of September. Forest department Uttarakhand, stopped river rafting on Ganga and other rivers after 30th of Jun due to Monsoon season. All the water sports and other adventure activities were closed for last two n half months in Rishikesh, but the splendor of the adventure city return back now. Adventure enthusiast tourists can again play with the rapids of Ganges.

In the latest meeting of the tourism department officials declares that river Ganga is safe now for starting the river rafting. If there may any cause the heavy rain happens and the water volume increase in the river, it will close on an instant basis. But they agree to open river rafting from 17th of September.

The river rafting association Rishikesh and the camping operators are welcoming this decision and preparing for the upcoming season. Last year around 5 lakh tourist visits Rishikesh to do river rafting, camping, and other adventure activities in Rishikesh. Rishikesh was a renowned destination for pilgrims and Yoga but it’s now one of the top destinations for adventure activities.

    Wow, its a great news for a me, Rishikesh is always a great experience for me whenever I go there. If someone want to experience a pleasant weather plus a great rafting experience, I’ll suggest, go in the month of October & stay at Camp Crossfire with a lovely river view.

    Amazing news, thanks for sharing it with us, i remember river rafting in rishikesh with Camp Majestic was one of the most amazing activity i had done in my life. It was a thrilling experience when you face the real power chilling water of golf course rapid & what a special experience when you swim in the middle of mighty ganga. You should must do the cliff jumping if you are faint heart & overcome from your fear 😉

    Thanks for sharing this news. I have experienced rafting in Manali & Kundalika but rafting in Ganga river always mesmerizing experience for me.     Good News for me, as I was planning a Rishikesh tour with my colleagues. Now I will make a 2 Night/3 Days tour of Rishikesh. In which we will stay in camp and will do Rafting. Hope like last year we will enjoy this tour also.
